Privacy Policy
Effective 22 October 2026
This policy explains what information the mGames app and website (together, "mGames") collect, why, and the choices you have. mGames is operated by Digiqulus Technologies ("we", "us"). If you have any questions, write to mgames@digiqulus.com.
The short version: we collect what we need to sign you in, run multiplayer games, count invites and understand which games people enjoy. We don't sell your information and we don't show third-party ads.
1. Information we collect
When you sign in
You can sign in with Google, Google Play Games or Apple, or play as a guest.
- Google, Play Games or Apple sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication. We receive your account ID, display name, email address (if the provider shares it; Apple lets you hide it) and profile photo link.
- Guest play needs only a nickname you choose. A guest account lives on your device; if you remove the app, it may be lost.
- We keep a sign-in token on your device so you stay signed in, and a record of each sign-in (time, sign-in method, platform and IP address) to keep accounts secure.
When you play
- App activity: when the app is opened and closed, screens viewed, games opened, and games finished. Events are saved on your device first so offline play counts too, then sent to our server.
- Matches: the game, when it started and how long it lasted, the room code, and each seat's display name, score, ranking, whether they won, and whether the seat was a computer player.
- Device details: your platform (Android, iOS or web) and app version.
- What you type in games, such as answers, words or drawings in party games, is sent to the other players in that room so the game can be played.
When you invite friends
- Your personal invite code, and who invited whom, how (Play Store link, invite link or typed code) and when.
- On Android, the Google Play Install Referrer: the invite code carried in the Play Store link you installed from. Organic installs carry no code.
- On Android, your device's Android ID (ANDROID_ID), so an invite is counted only once per phone, even if the app is reinstalled. We use it only for this.
Wifi and hotspot play
When you host or join a game on the same wifi, the app announces and finds games on your local network, and game data travels directly between the phones on that network rather than through our servers.
2. How we use it
- To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
- To run online rooms, match players and show names and scores.
- To give invite rewards (game unlocks) and prevent invite abuse.
- To understand which games are played, fix problems and improve mGames, using activity and match data.
- To respond when you contact us, and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, use it for third-party advertising, or make decisions with legal effects about you based on it.
3. Who we share it with
| Who | Why |
|---|---|
| Other players | Your display name, avatar, scores and in-game input are shown to people in the same room. Your invite code is shown to people you share it with. |
| Google (Firebase Authentication, Google Sign-In, Play Games, Google Play) | Signing you in and reading the Play install referrer. Google's own privacy policy applies. |
| Apple (Sign in with Apple) | Signing you in on Apple devices. Apple's own privacy policy applies. |
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting our game server and database. |
| Authorities | Only when the law requires it, or to protect players and our service. |
4. How long we keep it
We keep account, activity, match and invite information while your account is in use. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it from our live systems within 30 days; backup copies are overwritten within a further 14 days. We may keep anonymous, aggregated statistics that no longer identify you.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct or delete: you can change your display name in the app. To get a copy of your data or delete your account, email mgames@digiqulus.com from the address linked to your account, or include your player name. See how to delete your account.
- Withdraw consent: sign out, or uninstall the app to stop all collection from your device.
- Depending on where you live, laws such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU/UK GDPR give you further rights, including complaining to a regulator. We will honour them.
6. Children
mGames is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it. In places where a higher age applies to consent, users below that age need a parent or guardian's permission.
7. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS and secure websockets) and is stored on servers with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you where the law requires.
8. International transfers
Our servers and the services we use may be located outside your country. When information moves across borders, we protect it as this policy describes.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
